Buying Brownfields: Investment Opportunities
If you are a developer looking for new business opportunities in prime locations or are an entrepreneur looking for an investment opportunity – the 2008 Brownfields Transaction Forum is the event for you!
Brownfields are usually part of an existing infrastructure with access to extremely desirable locations such as city centers and high density commercial and industrial areas. Brownfields remain more affordable than raw land and are becoming easier to reuse and redevelop. Additionally, Brownfields are eligible for financial incentives from federal, state, and local government and benefit from a wide array of technical assistance programs, bond programs, enterprise zones, access to revolving loan funds, a growing base of grant and loan incentives, new tax credits, and benefit from innovations in environmental insurance.
The sites shown at the Brownfields Transaction Forum are ripe for redevelopment and are ready for reuse!
What is the Brownfields Transaction Forum?
Simply, the signature event of the National Brownfields Conference.
Local governments, land banks, and property owners from all across the U.S. and Canada prepare storyboards and materials highlighting properties that are for sale or lease and ready for redevelopment. The forum provides you with an opportunity to meet with site owners, see properties available for lease and purchase, look at key market data, and find new investment opportunities!
The goal of the transaction forum is to encourage new real estate transactions and is a must-attend event for those that buy and redevelop brownfields!
The Brownfields Transaction Forum takes place on Monday, May 5th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event is FREE and open to dealmakers with interests in commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed use projects.
